This web page is dedicated to Jesus Christ, the One who brought new life into my body. I was at the point of giving up, so riddled with pain that life was often unbearable. Jesus stepped in and brought healing in a way I never could have foreseen.
My book, “Healed from Lupus: From Death to Life” is my testimony of His great and awesome love. And what He did for me, He certainly can do for you! Do you want to get to know Him? Or if you already do, are you longing for more?
As a child I knew there was a God. Prayer at that time was simply a repetition of words that didn’t mean much to me. Did they mean anything to Him? I didn’t know what to believe.
When circumstances in my life began to change and seemed to be pointing me to move across the country, I believed God was the one orchestrating this new development. I never stopped to think on the fact that I was willing to give up control of my situation because I knew in my heart He was working for my good. I don’t know how I knew this. It just was. So I moved to British Columbia.
After several months in Vancouver I met Jesus as my Lord and Saviour. At that point, the spring trees and flowers seemed to vibrate with living colours, and joy filled my heart like I had never known. There was new meaning to my life and I looked forward to all He had for me in it.
But there was much in my life that needed to change. It would take years for me to get to the point where I was willing to give up certain thought patterns and see them as harmful to my health. When I gave up fighting what Jesus was doing in my life, I began to see a little maturity coming forth. Years of trying to do the right thing, but not surrendering to him in my heart, showed me that His way is always best. He works in our hearts to bring the peace we crave, but the process is not always pleasant because our bad habits have to die in order to get there.
Are you at a point in your life where you don’t know what to believe anymore? Rather than trying out one religion after another, why don’t you just speak out loud and say, “Jesus, if you’re real, would you reveal yourself to me?” He will transform your life from dull grey into vibrant colours! Life will be worth living as your very existence will be given new meaning.
But we don’t come to that unless we lay down our pride and come to Him in humility. Everything in your life that you think is good, like wisdom or pride, lay them down in order to receive from Him. He won’t fill something that’s already full. Give them to him so He can in turn fill you. This doesn’t mean that you see all you’ve done up till then as wasted time. But you have to come to the place where He can fill you with His love. In order to do that, all that’s in you has to be laid down at the foot of his cross. He will show you when and what to pick up again so he can breathe new life into it.
