I wrote these songs with words directly from scripture. They were verses that spoke encouragement to me at a time I desperately needed to know my life was not over. My prayer for you is that if you listen to the songs, the words will ignite hope, encouragement and faith in your heart.
This song, Do Not Fear, was the first one I wrote after being given the diagnosis of Lupus, because it brought a terrible amount of fear into my heart. I turned to God for comfort, and He directed me to sing the scriptures. As I memorized the words and sang them out, they brought healing into my life. God was true to His word: as I sang the words of Do Not Fear over and over, I found that fear began to lose its power, which helped me to look at my situation from God's perspective rather than mine. He comforted and strengthened me as I sang. I understood that He had my life in His hands, and because He is FOR me, I had nothing to fear.
